Pantonium On-Demand Transit
Pantonium is a cloud-based software company providing mobile applications, artificial intelligence and route optimization for efficient on-demand public transportation.
Pantonium's cloud and mobile based technology suite enables transportation providers to move people efficiently in an on-demand world. Pantonium is working with public transit agencies and private companies to enable riders to request trips and have shared vehicles transport them to their destination at their desired time. The technology takes into account real time feedback such as GPS positions, vehicle capacity, accessibility, and traffic. Pantonium’s software is currently used to control all public transit buses operating at night time in the city of Belleville, Ontario. After three months those buses controlled by Pantonium saw total ridership grow by 300%, the service area covered by transit increase by 70%, and total vehicle mileage decreased by 30%. By solving the vehicle routing problem in low density areas for transit Pantonium has helped take thousands of people out of their cars and on to environmentally friendly public transit. This empowers our customers to allocate their vehicle fleet efficiently without the need for human intervention, allowing their vehicles to be flexible while on the road and adjust to changes in rider demand automatically. Pantonium’s technology can be used by municipal transit agencies or private fleet operators to help reduce single occupancy drivers.
