Catalia Health
Scalable chronic disease care management programs to patients using an interactive robot with conversations tailored to each patient.
Catalia Health is a chronic disease care management company focused on keeping patients on therapy and improving outcomes. We deliver an effective, scalable solution for patients and our healthcare partners to provide daily conversations with patients at the same cost as infrequent nurse or pharmacist calls today. Our easy-to-deploy programs are designed around specific disease states and effectively engage the patient in better managing their treatment while delivering granular data and outcomes to our pharma and healthcare system customers. The interface to patients is an interactive robot called Mabu that uses a voice-based interface designed for simple, intuitive use by a wide variety of patients. The cloud-based platform delivers unique conversations to patients each time they have a conversation with Mabu. Through these conversations and other connected devices, Catalia Health transmits actionable data to our customers and partners.
Catalia Health sells to pharmaceutical manufacturers who want to improve clinical trial processes and data collection and who want to deliver better care management programs to patients on approved therapies. Customers also include healthcare systems who are providing better care and reducing readmissions rates of chronic disease patients. The company was founded in 2014 and is currently delivering care management programs to its first commercial patients. Catalia Health has raised funding from some of the top healthcare technology investors including Khosla Ventures, Ion Pacific, and Fusion Fund. The core technological capabilities are patented, including a broad issued patent on the use of robots for behavior change.
