NTT DATA is seeking for partners who can provide solutions to enhance the shared taxi business model to improve multimodal mobility services in the city. Shared taxi mobility service can come in many forms, we would like a focus on the "colectivo" solution: a shared taxi regulated service with specific named routes that go from A to B.
Challenges faced today: passengers need to go to point A as the
taxi will not leave until it has 4 passengers onboard, the probability of ride on along the route is minimal; the taxi driver has no information about demand, payment is in cash only, there is no integration with other transit modes, .the user has no information about the service and nor clue of ETA or availability of space, there is no booking, etc, etc, etc
